Projects and positons listed below show the types of tasks that are currently available to volunteers at Mesa Ranger District

• Serve as a team leader to help manage projects
• Be a wilderness steward on hiking trails
• Assist with facility maintenance projects at recreational sites
• Assist with trash pickup in littered areas
• Help remove invasive weeds
• Be a host and information steward in off-highway vehicle areas
• Collect environmental data
• Do an Eagle Scout project
• Adopt a road, trail, or location
• Be a campground host
• Repair fences

• Sharpen hand tools or repair equipment
• Sign up a group for a project
