The Association of Mesa Ranger District Volunteers is dedicated to supporting and promoting the mission of Mesa Ranger District to "Care for the Land and Serve People”. We are in the process of becoming a non-profit Arizona Corporation and eventually a U.S. 501(c)(3) Corporation. We are a non-political organization.
The purposes for which the Association is organized are to assist the United States Forest Service in maintaining, protecting, and restoring the natural and cultural resources and the scenic beauty of our forest lands for the enjoyment and use of present and future generations; assist in educating the public on the use and appreciation of the forest and it’s resources; and help identify and recruit volunteers.
To accomplish our mission, we will:

Help identify, recruit, and offer opportunities for volunteers to serve that are compatible with their skills and interests, and the needs of Mesa Ranger District

Foster a “team” approach that embraces the concept of friends working together

Help MRD orient and train volunteers so they will understand and effectively fulfill their responsibilities

Promote the development of volunteer leaders

Interact with members of the public in a way that promotes good community and public relations for the Association, Mesa Ranger District, and the Forest Service
