Lower Salt River Cleanup Set for September 25

The 31st Annual Lower Salt River Cleanup is set for National Public Lands Day, September 25 from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M. Volunteers should sign in at the Pebble Beach Recreation site on the Bush Highway going out of Mesa toward Saguaro Lake.

On-line sign up for the event is at:

As one of the busiest recreation sites in the Tonto National Forest, the Lower Salt River accumulates lots of litter and trash from heavy summer use. Mesa Ranger District sponsors this event annually for individuals and groups to help cleanup and restore the area.

Lunch is provided, and volunteer organizations and Forest Service groups will have booths at the event. hit counter
