Information on Being a Campground Host in Mesa Ranger District

The Association provides this information to assist volunteers who may be seeking camp host positions.

The camp host locations operated by Mesa Ranger District are as follows:

• Phon D Sutton
• Coon Bluff
• Gold Field
• Pebble Beach
• Boulder
• Tortilla

It's preferred that hosts have had experience working at high use recreation sites or "urban" forests.  Hook ups at these sites are limited and all camp units must be self reliant for electricity, water and sewer.  Cell or satellite phone coverage is often limited.

Camp hosts must be willing and able to deal with compliance issues and perform tasks such as light maintenance and painting, weed control, toilet cleaning, painting and trash pick up.

If you feel that you might qualify, compete the APPLICATION and it will be forwarded to an MRD representative.
